How to Check Your Transaction Status on SwapX
After you initiate a sale on SwapX, it's natural to want to keep tabs on what's happening with your skins and your payment. SwapX includes a transaction history section that gives you a clear view of every sale you've made, what stage each is at, and what to do if something doesn't look right. Here's a complete walkthrough.
Where to Find Your Transaction History
Once you're logged into SwapX, navigate to your account dashboard. Look for the "Transactions" or "History" section — it's typically accessible from the main navigation menu or your profile area.
This section displays a chronological list of all your completed and in-progress sales. Each entry shows the key details of a transaction at a glance: the items sold, the sale amount, the payment method, and the current status.
Understanding Transaction Statuses
Each transaction in your history is assigned a status that tells you exactly where it is in the process. Here's what each status means:
Pending
A transaction is marked Pending when the sale has been initiated but one or more steps are still outstanding. The most common reason a transaction stays in Pending is that the trade offer sent by SwapX hasn't been accepted yet.
When you see Pending:
- Check your Steam account for an outstanding trade offer
- Accept the offer using the Steam mobile app (Steam Guard confirmation required)
- If you've already accepted it, the status should update shortly as Steam confirms the trade
Pending transactions can also occur if there's a brief delay between you accepting a trade offer and SwapX receiving confirmation from Steam's servers.
Processing
Once you've accepted the trade offer and SwapX has confirmed receipt of the items, the transaction moves to Processing. This means the items have been transferred successfully and your payment is being prepared.
The duration of this stage depends on your chosen payment method:
- Cryptocurrency: typically moves to Completed within minutes
- Online wallets: within up to one hour
- Bank transfer or card: within up to 7 business days
Completed
A Completed status means everything has gone through successfully — the items were received by SwapX and your payment has been sent. If you've selected a fast payment method like crypto or an online wallet, you should be able to verify the payment has arrived on your end as well.
Completed transactions are permanently stored in your history and can be referenced any time.
Canceled
A transaction can be marked Canceled for several reasons:
- You declined the trade offer on Steam
- The trade offer expired without being accepted (trade offers have a time limit)
- The sale was manually canceled — either by you or by SwapX support in exceptional circumstances
- A technical issue prevented completion — in these cases, the items remain in your inventory and are not transferred
If a transaction is canceled, no payment is made and no items are transferred. Your skins remain safely in your Steam inventory. You can re-initiate the sale at any time.
Filtering and Searching Your History
If you have a long transaction history, SwapX provides filtering options to help you find specific entries. You can typically filter by:
- Date range
- Transaction status (Pending / Processing / Completed / Canceled)
- Payment method
This is particularly useful if you're trying to locate a specific sale for reference or to follow up with support.
What to Do If a Transaction Seems Stuck
Occasionally, a transaction may appear to be stuck in Pending or Processing longer than expected. Before contacting support, check the following:
For Pending transactions:
- Open Steam and check your incoming trade offers
- If there's an offer from SwapX, accept it through the Steam mobile app
- If there's no trade offer showing, check that your Trade URL on SwapX is current and correct
- Wait 10–15 minutes — sometimes there's a brief delay in offer delivery
For Processing transactions:
- Check whether the expected payment window has passed based on your chosen method
- Verify your payment details are correct (wallet address, IBAN, card number)
- Check whether your bank or payment provider has any holds or pending notices
If the issue persists: Contact SwapX support through the in-app chat or contact page. Have your transaction ID ready — it's visible in your transaction history and speeds up the support process significantly.
Downloading Transaction Records
For record-keeping purposes (personal accounting, tax records, etc.), SwapX transaction details can be referenced from your history at any time. Each completed transaction includes the items sold, the sale price, the payment method, and the timestamp.
If you need formal documentation of your transactions for tax or financial purposes, contact SwapX support — they can assist with providing appropriate records.
Staying On Top of Your Sales
Checking your transaction history is something worth doing after every sale, at least until you're fully comfortable with the flow. It gives you confidence that everything is progressing correctly and flags anything that needs your attention before it becomes a problem.
Most sales on SwapX complete without any issues. The transaction history is there as a transparency tool — so you always know the status of your money and your items.
